Ms. Macarin-Mara is a Certified Clinical Social Worker, working in the mental field for over twenty years in both in-patient and out-patient settings. She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Hunter College School of Social Work. Her second Master’s is in Dance Therapy from New York University. In addition she is a Certified Hypnotherapist from Brooklyn Institute for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.

Her private practice is in New Jersey and Manhattan. She works with children, adolescents, adults and couples. She has taught at New York University, College of Staten Island, CUNY on Staten Island. Ms. Macarin-Mara has provided consultations to corporations, school, community organizations on topics relating to parenting issues, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, relationships and communication skill building.
 

She was selected for Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who of American Women. Ms. Macarin-Mara was invited to join the first group of Custody Neutral Evaluators in Middlesex County. She assists the courts by being another pair of eyes and ears in difficult custody arrangements. Her role is to provide information to the court so that the children’s best interests are served.
